CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON THE GASHUUNSUKHAIT–GANTSMOD CROSS-BORDER RAILWAY PROJECT The construction of the Gashuunsukhait–Gantsmod cross-border railway officially commenced on June 15, 2025, with the drilling of the first foundation piles for a column bridge on both sides of the Mongolia–China border.
AGREEMENT SIGNED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE GASHUUNSUKHAIT–GANTSMOD CROSS-BORDER RAILWAY A signing ceremony was held today at the Ministry of Roads and Transport for the enterprise agreement on the construction of the Gashuunsukhait–Gantsmod cross-border railway. This agreement marks a significant milestone in developing a new railway link connecting Mongolia and China through the Gashuunsukhait–Gantsmod border crossing.
CONSTRUCTION OF CROSS-BORDER RAILWAY BEGINS AT GASHUUNSUKHAIT–GANTSMOD PORT Construction has officially commenced on the Gashuunsukhait–Gantsmod cross-border railway, a first-class line featuring dual tracks with both 1520 mm broad gauge and 1435 mm standard gauge.
PARLIAMENT TO RATIFY GASHUUNSUKHAIT-GANTSMOD CROSS-BORDER RAILWAY AGREEMENT IN APRIL The Prime Minister of Mongolia, L. Oyun-Erdene, is set to visit the People’s Republic of China from March 13 to 15. During his visit, he will participate in the finalization and signing of the Gashuunsukhait-Gantsmod Cross-Border Railway Agreement between the two countries.
The construction of 6.9 km of the Shiveekhuren port railway is complete On May 29, 2024, the Ministry of Road and Transport Development informed that the construction of the 6.9 km railway connecting Mongolia's Shiveekhuren port with China's Ceke port has been completed.
